Formed in October 1984, celebrating 25th Anniversary this year.
Moneydig Bowling Club joined the Kilrea and District Churches League in 1988 and winning the league for seven consecutive years from 1990. The Club won the McFetridge Cup in 1996.
In 1997 the Bowling Club joined the North-West League, consisting of teams from Kilrea, Garvagh, Bushmills, Coleraine and surrounding areas.
As well as playing in the league we run “club” competitions with prize giving at the annual Dinner in April.
In 2003 the Bowling Club organised a competition, thereafter named “The Richard Torrens Memorial Tournament” inviting bowlers from far and near to participate. The competition raised £2600 for the Royal Victoria Hospital (Paul Ward) for Sick Children. The tournament was held again in 2005 and 2007 and the proceeds donated to the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospital and The Causeway Support Group.
Our aim at Moneydig Bowling Club is the meet weekly and enjoy fellowship and sportsmanship of a competitive team
