Welcome

Moneydig Presbyterian Church.

A very warm welcome to our Church website.

We are a congregation set in the heart of the countryside ministering to the local community. The gospel has been faithfully preached for over 175 years.

We meet for Sunday morning worship at 12 noon (July & August 11.30 am). The dates and times for other organisations can be found on their individual pages.

From September to June we meet for prayer and Bible study each Wednesday evening at 8pm. During July and August we meet at 11am in the Church Hall on a Sunday before morning worship at 11:30am.

Please pray for  members of Session and our Convenor, Rev. John Coulter, as they seek God’s guidance in the calling of a new minister to our congregation.

We had a Christmas Candle Light Service in December. It was a blessed time of readings and carols followed by Steven Torrens, one of our elders,  bringing a Christmas message to us. We were treated to tea and mince-pies afterwards from our young folk. It was a lovely night of blessing and fellowship.

The children and young people in Campaigners, with the help from the congregation, wrapped and packed over 60 shoe boxes for Samaritan’s Purse. Well done everyone!!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

On the last Sunday in September we  thanked our heavenly Father for the bounteous harvest we have had this year. God has given us a wonderful summer with hot summer days and refreshing rain to water the seed. We have a lot to be thankful for.  The speakers were  Rev. Drew Abernathy and Rev. John Coulter.

We had a busy and blessed Summer Bible Club ( ‘Treasure Seekers’)  from Wednesday 17th to Saturday 20th July with a family service on Sunday 21st July. Our Bible Club ran over three evenings culminating in a fun morning on the Saturday. We had a brilliant time. Thanks to all those who helped and to all the children who came.

Each Easter Sunday morning, before our morning service, we have a BIG breakfast. (BIG means a ‘yummy fry’ in Moneydig) It was decided by the organisers of the breakfast to give any donations to ‘Arthritis Research UK’ and to direct it specifically to a Lupus clinical study.A great big thank you to all who cooked, served and ate the fry!
